A Day in the Life:

As a Traveling Tilt-Up Safety Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies on tilt-up construction sites.
  • Collaborating with project managers and superintendents to develop and implement site-specific safety plans.
  • Training and educating employees and subcontractors on safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Investigating and documenting any safety incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitoring and enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring all safety signage is correctly displayed.
  • Leading safety meetings and toolbox talks, promoting a culture of safety across all project sites.
  • Maintaining detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training sessions.
  • Traveling to various project sites nationwide to ensure consistent application of safety standards.
  • Reporting regularly to the Safety Director on the status of safety programs and any issues that arise on-site.
  • Staying updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of experience in construction safety roles, with a strong focus on tilt-up construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to train and lead teams in implementing safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to promoting a safe work environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites across various locations.
