Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will oversee project cost planning, bid preparation, and financial management for restaurant and retail projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment tailored to restaurant and retail construction.
- Bid Management: Review and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with project scopes.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaboration: Work with architects, designers, and project managers to align financial plans with design and functional goals.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction technologies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present detailed cost breakdowns and timelines to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with expertise in cost estimation and commercial construction projects.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in restaurant and retail construction or similar commercial projects.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with restaurant layouts, retail design trends, and material specifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Leadership: Strong collaboration and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
