Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the financial planning and cost estimation for mission critical projects. Your key duties include:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment specific to mission critical facilities.
- Pre-Construction Planning: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to align budgets with technical requirements.
- Bid Management: Evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring proposals meet project specifications and cost constraints.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential financial and logistical risks, developing strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Client Communication: Present cost breakdowns, timelines, and risk analyses to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Market Research: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in mission critical facility construction.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates are seasoned professionals with a strong track record in estimating high-tech and mission critical facility projects.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in estimating for mission critical facilities or similar complex projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of systems like HVAC, electrical infrastructure, and specialized facility components.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to manage high-stakes cost models.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
