As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in managing costs, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects meet the unique demands of aviation facilities.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will lead cost estimation processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure project budgets align with goals. Key duties include:
- Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for aviation projects.
- Pre-Construction Planning: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to align budgets with project scope.
- Bid Management: Review subcontractor proposals and prepare competitive bids to secure projects.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Client Communication: Present cost analyses, project schedules, and budget recommendations to stakeholders.
- Market Research: Stay updated on aviation construction trends, technologies, and material pricing.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with expertise in aviation facilities and a strong background in cost estimation.
- Experience: 7+ years in estimating for aviation construction or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with airport-specific construction materials, safety regulations, and methodologies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and organizational skills for managing complex budgets.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
