As an Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in controlling budgets and ensuring the financial feasibility of these ambitious projects.
Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will focus on cost management, budget preparation, and financial planning for high-rise construction projects. Key duties include:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for high-rise projects.
- Bid Preparation: Develop competitive bids and analyze subcontractor proposals to secure project contracts.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost risks and create contingency plans to mitigate financial impact.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to align budgets with project goals.
- Client Communication: Present detailed cost analyses and project timelines to stakeholders.
- Market Research: Monitor trends in construction materials and high-rise construction techniques to optimize costs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a strong background in cost estimation and financial planning for large-scale construction projects.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in estimating for high-rise construction or similar large-scale projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, technologies, and methodologies used in high-rise construction.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage complex cost models.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
