Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will lead pre-construction planning, cost analysis, and budget preparation for healthcare construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment specific to healthcare projects.
- Bid Management: Review subcontractor proposals and create competitive bids to secure contracts.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze potential cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to align project budgets with design and operational goals.
- Client Communication: Present detailed cost breakdowns and financial plans to stakeholders.
- Regulatory Awareness: Ensure cost estimates align with healthcare construction regulations and standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a strong background in estimating healthcare construction projects and knowledge of industry-specific requirements.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in estimating for healthcare construction or similar specialized projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, technologies, and standards specific to healthcare facilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex cost models.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
