Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates and supporting the team in delivering exceptional healthcare construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment tailored to healthcare construction projects.
- Pre-Construction Planning: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure budgets align with project requirements.
- Bid Preparation: Evaluate subcontractor proposals and prepare competitive bids to secure contracts.
- Risk Analysis: Identify and mitigate potential financial risks during the estimation process.
- Client Communication: Present cost breakdowns and project timelines to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Market Research: Stay updated on trends and technologies in healthcare construction to optimize costs and improve outcomes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is experienced in cost estimation for healthcare facilities and understands the unique challenges of this sector.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in estimating for healthcare construction projects.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards, materials, and construction practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to handle complex cost models.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
