As an Estimator, you’ll be at the forefront of controlling project costs and ensuring timely project completion.
Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will take the lead in managing project costs, preparing budgets, and working closely with teams to ensure financial and logistical success. Key duties include:
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for distribution center projects.
- Bid Preparation: Analyze subcontractor proposals and create competitive bid packages to secure contracts.
- Risk Analysis: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to align budgets with project goals.
- Client Communication: Present detailed cost breakdowns and timelines to stakeholders.
- Market Research: Stay updated on material pricing and emerging trends in distribution center construction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in cost estimation for large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience estimating distribution center construction or similar projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in large-scale facility construction, material handling systems, and logistical requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex cost models.
- Procure Experience: Is a plus.
