Responsibilities of Superintendent:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans and schedules, coordinating with clients, architects, and engineers.
- Team Leadership: Lead on-site teams, including subcontractors and laborers, to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing updates and addressing challenges proactively.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor costs to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all construction meets safety regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
Qualifications:
To succeed as a Superintendent in restaurant and retail construction, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience managing restaurant and retail construction projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to dining and retail spaces.
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; Pmp certifications – not needed.
- Procure experience is a plus.
